This newsletter, we want to spotlight our Venice Logistics Shore Base.
The Venice shore base is a 24 -hour facility that has 3 stevedoring crews that work a 14&7 schedule. The base is managed by Shane St. Ann and the yard operations are supervised by Franky Knight. Each crew consists of a crane operator, 2 forklift operators / riggers, and a night time only rigger.

Allen Sreiy
Allen is single and has 3 girls at the ages of 7, 5, and 2. Allen has been with the EPS for 5 years as a forklift operator. Allen’s performance on the yard has been outstanding and he has helped set a good culture for forklift operators. On his days off he likes to eat and spend time with his family.
Carl Callais
Carl is single and has 1 girl at the age of 4 yrs old. Carl has been with the company for 8 months. Carl worked for Great Lakes for 2 ½ years where he worked his way up to crane operator. Carl has shown leadership and has a positives attitude in critical situations. Carl likes to listen to music, jump levees in his beat up diesel truck and spend time with his family.
Charles Barthelemy
Charles has been married to Tressa Barthelemy for 4 years. He has 3 girls at the ages of 33, 32, 31. Charles has been with the company for 2 1/2 years. Charles came from Grand Isle Shipyard as a forklift operator and has continued his forklift career here at the Venice base. We at the Venice base are glad to have him as a part of our team. Charles loves to boil seafood on his days off.
Franky Knight
Franky Knight has been married to Jessica for 6 years. They have 3 girls and 2 boys. Ages are 25, 24, 22, 14, 3. Franky has been with EPS for 3 years. He is our dock foreman and has been so since the start of his EPS career. Franky is key to keeping our operations safe on the dock and is knowledgeable about shore base operations. He loves to ride four wheelers and spend time with his family.
Joey Waltman
Joey has been married to Carrie Waltman for 4 years. He has 3 girls and 1 boy. His girls’ ages are 18, 16, and 12, and his son is 9. Joey has worked in gas plants and was a logistics manager and a supervisor at a pipe yard. Joey has been with EPS for 3 years as a dispatcher. Joey always has best interest for the EPS and our customers. Joey loves doing wood work and going fishing on his days off.
Nick Trahan
Nick is single and has 1 boy at the age of 13. Nick has been with EPS for 10 years. He transferred from the Cameron base to Venice as a forklift operator. Nick sets a great example of how to properly load and offload trucks for the rest of the team. Nick is a hard worker and we are glad to have him as part of our team. Nick enjoys fixing vehicles and fishing on his days off.
Ron Sylve
Ron has been married to Courtney for 6 years. Ron and Courtney have 3 boys and 2 girls. Their sons are 28, 26, and 7, and their daughters are 16 and 3. Ron has been with the company for 1 year and 5 months as a rigger. Ron is very knowledgeable at his craft and is a hard worker. Ron likes to do carpentry work and spend time with his kids.
Shane St.Ann
Shane has been with Tessie Demoll for 12 years. Together, they have 5 girls total ages 20, 20, 17, 14, and 5. Shane started the oilfield in 1998 at Newpark Environmental. He came to EPS from Grand Isle Shipyard in 2016. He has been with EPS for 3 years. Shane started out as a crane operator at the Venice Base and has worked his way up to Dock Supervisor. Shane is always quick to praise his crews and he is pays close attention to detail in all he does. On his days off he likes to spend time with his family.
Tyler Billiot
Tyler Billiot has been married to Amber Billiot for 8 years. They have 2 girls and 1 boy. Their daughters are 4 and 11, and their son is 6. Tyler has been with EPS for 5 months and operates the forklift. Tyler does well with communicating with truck drivers and does a great job taking care of our customers’ equipment. He enjoys hunting and fishing on his days off.
Vannak Vong
Vannak Vong has been married to Samantha Busby for 15 years and has 3 boys and 1 girl. The boys’ ages are 13, 11, 7 months. Their daughter is 8 years old. Vannak has been with EPS for 3 years. Vannak started with EPS as a dispatcher and plays a key part of our daily operation. Vannak has a great relationship with our customers and is very organized. Vannak loves to watch his kids play sports on his time off.
