EPS Safety Technicians oversee the safety and health of workers on the work site. They make certain workers are properly trained to perform their job and are aware of their responsibilities. They also ensure compliance with Local, State, & Federal Government Regulations, Industry Standards, and company guidelines and policies. Safety Techs conduct observations of the work site to make certain workers are utilizing the appropriate tools, safety equipment and Personal protective equipment and that they are maintained in a safe manner, and encourage workers to intervene when at risk behavior is recognized. They inform and remind workers to exercise their responsibility to the “Stop Work Authority” process, report unsafe conditions and keep workers informed of what is expected of them. They perform site orientation for new visitor & workers entering the site. They also participate in Pre-Job Safety Meetings, JSAs, & evaluation of job tasks and report accidents/incidents and potential hazards to their Supervisors.
