EPS Material Men review the outstanding inbound manifest first thing each morning to insure everything is in order and dispatchers are aware of any items that have been at Shorebase for an extended amount of time. They receive and coordinate the receiving and unloading of all materials inbound/outbound to the Shorebase with marine dispatcher and Shorebase crews and validate all materials being received inbound/outbound for accuracy and compliance. They are accountable for reporting accurate weights on equipment to the dispatcher, insure that equipment is marked for the proper location and placed in proper staging area or on correct vessel. They review manifest for quantities of product inside of tanks and drums and assure items have proper Hazardous or non-Hazardous Labeling, note discrepancies on manifest and notify dispatcher of discrepancies. (Either items missing or not on manifest) They also participate in Safety Meetings, JSA Meetings, and Behavior Based Safety Programs.
